Love wine? Like wine? Not sure about wine?
This meetup is for everyone from the curious to the true lovers of wines. Come down to WineStyles and meet other members while sampling 4-6 different types of wines.
This will be held on a Thursday when they have open wine tastings. This place is very casual with a friendly atmosphere (think no wine snobs) and Brad the proprietor is willing to work with us if the turnout is good. 4 to 6 wines will be poured and the cost is $15.00 for everything. Glasses of wine are also available for $4-7 and appetizers can be ordered and delivered from nearby Market City Cafe. They also sell cigars but you're going to have to smoke them outside.
So come by, try some great wines and meet some awesome people!
The tasting is from 6:00-8:00pm but there are other great places in the downtown to "continue" our Meetup if we want.
Sorry, but they can only accomodate about 15 of us, so get your RSVP in early.

Received this from WineStyles about Thursday Nights tasting.
The touching history of some tasty wines.
From a winemaker with a true love for the Zinfandel grape, WineStyles Brea presents several different wines from Christian Lazo, a newbie to the wine scene in Paso Robles but a true oenophile at heart. Our tasting will be conducted by Christian Lazo himself on Thursday, July 31st from 6 to 8 PM in our cozy tasting room.
Mr. Lazo and his wife Lupe acquired a ten-acre vineyard consisting of mostly Zin from the McGillis farm just west of Paso Robles in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains in 2002 from the recently deceased owner. Thank goodness Lazo stepped in when he did: lack of human hands and care had left the grapes in quite a sorry state.
Knowing that the process of bringing these grapes back to life would be a long one, he befriended what he calls “one of the original stars of the Paso Robles area” Richard Sauret, a man whose “roots run so deep that he has become part of the terroir of the area.” From Sauret Christian Lazo obtained a ten-acre piece of Zin in 2003, and in the spring of 2005 he bought another fifteen acres of Barbera, Petite Syrah and Zinfandel, also from Sauret Vineyards. Sauret taught Lazo how to farm in the hot, dry climate of Paso Robles, and what a precious resource water can be. It is with this knowledge that Christian Lazo’s wines are made with such skill and brought to you in the bottle.
